Nanatochase Posted May 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2009 I've done a search and can't seem to find an answer. Does having a 9A "wrap" cabin entiltle you to VIP status? Thank you for your time.
Amerikaner83 Posted May 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2009 nope. A 9a wrap balcony is simply a larger room with a larger balcony. VIP status is with cat 11 and cat12 SUITES only. EDIT: you can HAVE VIP status and have an inside cabin, if you're Platinum. But no, having a 9A wrap balcony by itself does not entitle anyone to VIP status. Nanatochase Posted May 31, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted May 31, 2009 Thank you so much for the quick answer. We always get a cat. 11, but are thinking about trying the 9A. Having VIP status at check in has us a little spoiled, along with the bathtub instead of the shower curtain.

Price is good and the balcony is HUGE! :D If you are looking for 'status' stuff and a tub, you have to stick with the Cat 11/12!!:) Spirit Class ships have a Cat 11 'aft wrap' that is "to die for"...!:p
Kudos2Fly Posted May 31, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2009 We had the 9A on Destiny and not you don't get VIP status. I believe the room is still 185sq ft. Just design differently. But the wrap balcony was nice..
Cruzman Posted May 31, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 31, 2009 Even though Carnival lists the 9A's as being 185 sq ft, I have been in several and they are considerably larger. Because of the odd shape and the different angles, it is hard to measure accurately, but by my measure and geometry, the size is closer to 220 sq ft. barbmac Posted May 31, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 31, 2009 We had a 9a on our last cruise. It was great. The balcony was huge. Very little shade, it did get hot. I have booked the same cabin for our next cruise.
