nervous about the Veendam....

we sailed our first HAL cruise on the Veendam (Alaska) and it was fabulous! Service, food, was impeccable!

 

Now I am booked for Feb 2010 on their South America voyag4e, and have read many many posts slamming the Veendam! :eek:

It's only because they just finished a retrofit and apparently, put her back in the water too soon. I've seen this on every line regarding maiden voyages and voyages after retrofits. I wouldn't worry about it - I'm sure it will all smooth out by the time of your trip. We're on her in October and I'm really looking forward to seeing the upgrades. We booked a spa suite and they look really nice from the pictures I've seen posted.

We just came home after 17 days on the Veendam and our cruise was lovely. The entertainment was some of the best of many cruises on many lines. Service was great as usual as was the food. It was great!!!
