kjordan Posted December 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2004 Hello. We are taking the Mariner of the Seas on Jan 9th. Staying in Orlando on Jan 7-9th. Anyone have suggestions on taking a shuttle or renting a car? Where can we get shuttle? Can you book in advance? Thanks, Kendall
bilyclub Posted December 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2004 Budget has a location 1.5 miles from CC that has a free van to drop and pick up at port. Rates were the best last time I was on Mariner. $20 -30 a day.
Nanatravel Posted December 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2004 For MCO to Port Canaveral, you can just go back to the airport and get the cruise line shuttle buses; pay RCI for a Round Trip transfer for each person. You did not say how many were in your party. If there are more than 2, then a car rental may be the most economical. Again, go back to MCO and pick up your rental car plus drop it at Cocoa Beach, shuttle to pier upon return, shuttle to Budget or Avis, get car and turn in at airport. A lot of hassle IMHO. Budget's office at Cocoa Beach is understaffed and personally I am having a big problem with my recent overcharges. If you require a private transportation service, Art's Limousine is well recommended. Do not use ABC. Bon Voyage
kjordan Posted December 14, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted December 14, 2004 Thank you. There are just two in our party...we are going to rent a car at Orlando Airport on friday and return it Sunday am..then use rccl shuttle to and from port. Ended up being cheaper and I believe less of a hassle. Thanks again!! Kendall
