Sabeaux Posted July 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2009 I would like to do a guided tour in Bermuda sine it's my first time...found this site and the tour looks interesting. I was wondering if anyone ever did one of there tours. http://www.bywaysbermuda.com/index.php
philpcruiser Posted March 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2015 Will try to restart this thread. I'm also interested to hear anyone's experience with this tour company, or for that matter, any other.
cruisebie Posted March 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2015 I would suggest going to the Ports of Call Board for Bermuda and asking this question there. When we went to Bermuda a couple of years ago, it was very easy to get off the ship and find a taxi tour to take you around the island. As I remember, they have a special decal or sign in their window that designates them as being certified to do give tours. Bermuda is a beautiful place and very easy to get around. Have a great cruise.
russianmom Posted March 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2015 They are excellent. Friendly, very informative. Small vans used and they have a cute dog!
figment9999 Posted March 30, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 30, 2015 We used Byways 2 years ago; they were excellent, highly recommend.
philpcruiser Posted March 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2015 Was the van in good condition? A/C working, etc? I've been to islands where the maintenance of vehicles was quite questionable.
figment9999 Posted March 31, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 31, 2015 Excellent. We did a 5 hr island tour w Byways Tours, just great. Eight passenger vehicle so no crowding; Heidi is the granddaughter of a lighthouse keeper, and that family trade reached back quite aways (based on the plaque in the Gibbs LH); she had a wealth of insights to share.
