isutru Posted July 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2009 Just returned from Barcelona this week. Taxi from port to airport was about 30 min and 42 Euros for 4 of us, 5 large luggage, and 4 small luggage. Many, many taxi's were lined up at the port and the airport. They were all the same color pattern, black and yellow, and metered. We fit in one mini-van, but not much more would have fit. I hope this is of assistance for you. janazaz Posted July 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2009 You can always prearrange a taxi by letting them know the amount of luggage - try Barcelona Taxi - www.barcelonataxivan.com. We used them and they were great!
cruzin lady Posted December 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2009 We used Juan A. Collado (info@autosvilar.com) www.autosvilar.com. Juan is fantastic, and we just recently used him for 4 days. He has both a car and a van, and he will accommodate whatever you need. :) Cruzin Lady Carolynn texascruzinlady@yahoo.com
euro cruiser Posted December 20, 2009 #6 Share Posted December 20, 2009 We used Barcelona Airport Transfers (http://www.barcelona-airport-transfers.com/) this past July for our family of 11, which included two in wheelchairs. I was a little leery, because I'd contacted three different companies for bids and Barcelona Airport Transfers was significantly less expensive than the other two (it worked out to about $15 per person I think, including tip). I was afraid it was too good to be true, and planned to use cabs as a backup if they didn't show up. The driver was there to greet us as we exited customs; he escorted us to a large mini-bus and insisted we all sit in the air conditioned bus while he loaded all the luggage. He spoke excellent English and told us all about the city as we drove to the cruise port. We used them again to transfer from our post-cruise hotel to the airport and had the same excellent service. I emailed our hotel (Jazz) for a recommendation and this is who they recommended. We have booked him in April for transport from airport to hotel.
