Celebrity Cruisers have Zuiderdam Questions

My husband Matt and I are South Floridians, Elite Celebrity Members and look forward to the ease of cruising Celebrity out of Ft Lauderdale any time of the year. Now that Celebrity will be deploying the Century to Europe this summer, we're looking for an alternative cruiseline. We've been on the Statendam twice....many years ago....and were not impressed. However, the Zuiderdam has always fascinated us!

Any info on it....good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance................the M&M's (Melanie & Matt)

Give the Zuiderdam a try.

We are - in May.

I send that motion. I did a b2b on the Zuiderdam last August ... solo cruiser. I had the time of my life. It's a larger ship and can be packed, but that's not to say you can't have a lot of fun.

Of course, to each his own ... and Princess ain't a bad choice either. But there is just something about the HAL brand that I love ... the extra touches that make a cruise special. I am taking my first Princess cruise in a couple of weeks, and I'm just hoping HAL hasn't spoiled me for any other line.

Blue skies ...
