Silversea Cruise Ship Fails CDC Inspection

There is a long and exhaustive discussion of this on the SS board. Really a shame that they perpetrated this ploy.

Since I had so enjoyed Seabourn and Crystal, I had been thinking of trying Silversea to see what one of their major competitors was like. This article seems to have made the decision for me.

Let's hope SS learned its lesson from this debacle and will change its policies. I bet they will or they better have their chapter 11 papers ready.

What seems to have happened on the Silversea Shadow is awful. I found that their response was very poor. It was too high level and not what I would have expected.

I can't help but wonder if some of the temperature and prep issues that we encountered on our May Silver Explorer cruise were the result of similar poor on-board decisions and policies.

I never would have thought that what occurred on the Shadow would be something I would see on Silversea. I agree that the corporate response is weak.

Extremely disappointing and will definitely impact the choice of line for our future cruises.
