  1. The Hilton DoubleTree is right next door. Middle of the road quality hotel.
  2. Air flight issues are discussed on the Cruise Air board. Logistics for getting to Seattle Airport are discussed on the West Coast Departures board. I would go for the 11:30 flight, or stay overnight, and catch the 11:30 ( or earlier) flight the next day.
  3. The band could change some or all of its members at any starting port, on any given cruise.
  4. Check www.visitlauderdale.com. It is a website that lists all the hotels in Ft Lauderdale and their amenities, like parking. There are other parking options discussed here frequently, both in the port, and outside.
  5. I can't think of any cruise terminal we have sailed out of, including Seattle, that we have removed our shoes. I have a favorite belt that can be a problem...
  6. The difference there is those personnel are not in any position of supervision or management. Rather, they are rookies, and probably being closely supervised.
  7. I agree when talking about the average citizen. But for trained professionals, there are many steps and levels of training, screening and otherwise evaluating one's performance to weed out people whose reaction to stress and danger would be critical, and potentially fatal if panic set in. I think in the Concordia, alcohol was involved, wasn't it, @chengkp75? Or just showing off for someone?
  8. No, the Vista and Signature Suites don't have priority. Usually the sign says "Pinnacle and Neptune Suites".
  9. You want a flight at 6am on the same day you are scheduled to dock at 8am? What am I missing? They aren't going to arrive at midnight and let you off at 1am. At minimum, they need to schedule dock workers to tie up and start unloading the ship. (Might need to be Immigration officials as well.) It's not going to happen at midnight or 2am. Realistically, they might dock between 6am and 7am, but you still aren't going to even come close to catching a 6am flight. Unless I am totally misunderstanding your questions.
  10. However, Seabourn is a high end luxury line, where as discussed previously in the thread, it would be much more likely to happen.
  11. They to be having a problem. It will probably resolve in a day or two.
  12. Last I heard, in the Villas, with the Butler, you get unlimited drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), lots of appetizers, and a 3 or 4 course lunch from the Pinnacle restaurant. The benefits should be listed on the HAL website excursion page.
