Stayed here a month ago. Be warned. Front desk staff are great, but do not take your shoes off in your room...carpets are filthy (ingrained dirt). We had breakfast included, but most restrictive b'fast at any HI I've stopped in all over the world. eg eggs and sausage or bacon...and if you have that, you can't have cereal!? Place wants demolishing...they are living on their location!! Simon

We were there in April. Went to Margaritaville. It was OK, but pricey. Fish & chips and a plate of Jambalaya, 2 glasses water...$58(!) including 20% service charge!! Due to location, they rip you off; wasn't worth half that. Simon

To be honest, if you just tell the tour operator you are on the Oasis, they should be able to find her! Simon

I'm going to stick my neck out and say the first one. Purely because it goes to Dunedin, where (hopefully) one of the excursions will be the Traieri Gorge train, which picks up from right beside the ship and takes you up into the hills/mountains. Being a bit of a train nut, that would swing it for me. The scenery is excellent too and hopefully a bagpipe band will play you out of Dunedin at sailaway. Simon

You were lucky!! We were 58 and number still hadn't been called by 1000 (supposed to be 0900!). We just decided to join the queues to get off. Took nearly an hour from 'dinging' out to get to the 2 (count them!! 2!) immigration officers that were checking everyones passports. Got a taxi at about 1130, then wouldn't you believe it, plane was late in! Now sitting at home with a nice, hot cup of tea (as opposed to what you get on Oasis!!). Simon

We don't do speciality dining, but MDR was fine and Horizon buffet pretty good. Our revelation was The Quays. Great for a snack (especially lunchtimeish), or have two portions for a bigger meal...they do a great breakfast too. As others have said Flam railway is great, but sells out quick. If you are going to Gerainger, do the trip to Mt. Dalsnibba..much cheaper on your own than through the ship https://www.geirangerfjord.no/bus-tour-to-mt-dalsnibba Whats hair??!!😁 Simon

My only point to add is, don't forget the two cruises are totally seperate as far as RCI are concerned, so on the last night of your first cruise, check your bill to make sure its correct...it does not carry over to the next cruise. As said, in the US, you have to get off the ship to go through Homeland. In Europe you usually just stay on the ship, get your new card given to you (sometimes on the last night), so you can go and explore if you want. In Barcelona, you used to get a card so you could jump the security line to get back on board...don't know if they still do. Also in Barcelona, there is a duty free shop after security, so you could buy a bottle or two and take it on the ship, as they don't have the scanners set up on the ship...just saying! Simon
