  1. Are you asking about where to speak to maitre'd about dining requests? That's a different animal from the DINE line, ie extension on the phone, labeled DINE Usually, outside either Capri or Amalfi dining room. It'll be listed in the Patter
  2. I took remember that pretty darn clearly. It was odd, to say the least. What's "worse" is that, the new Sun doesn't have a larger theater either. Under 1100 seats, for a 4200 passenger ship, at double occupancy. And the shows, only twice a night - when the original info was that they'd be three times a night. Go figure. Add in the Dome shows - that seats 230 or so and are 20 minutes long, only twice a night also. And Voila - more than half the ship can't get in to see any of the shows on any given night.. Far less when there's third or fourth berths in use.. a fail on this design - unless they do transition to 3 a night as originally planned. And with it being a new ship, design and 6 new shows - 3 brand new production shows (and the 4th a reimagines Fiera) and the 3 Cirque shows in the Dome, people are going to want to see them, even those long time cruisers who've seen all the others shows too many times to count and don't go at all anymore. (Only 2 production shows so far, all 3 Dome shows up). People are reporting waiting on line and in their seat in the Dome for 90 minutes or an hour, not making it at all, standing room only, etc. Fail. A larger theater was definitely in order.
  3. ???? They're behind the scenes. You can't go ask them in person, ie face to face, as you're not allowed in crew areas. You can obviously call and ask them "in person". You can speak to the maitre'd, in the various dining rooms and buffet, or F&B manager (ask at Guest Services).
  4. Taxes? What taxes on the upgrade? That's new. Anyways, use the Chat or call and do it directly. Or, do it aboard. It takes 3 minutes with a crew member, or you can do it on the app aboard, while waiting in line for the Sanctuary..

  7. ???? The churrascaria onboard is not part of any chain. Where you got that idea is beyond me - unless you very much misinterpreted @AZDuck's post noting that they enjoy Fogo, which is a churrascaria. - and the one aboard is a similar concept. Same way Sabatini's is similar to countless untold number of Italian restaurants, chain or otherwise.... The new churrascaria is no more part of a chain or name brand or celebrity restaurant group than Sabatini's or Crown Grill or Bayou or Harmony is - although they're found on numerous Princess ships and you know just what you're getting when you dine in them! I presume you won't be eating at The Catch by Rudy or Butcher's Block by Daria or Live by Britto or such either, given they're affiliated with famous chefs, albeit not chain restaurants..
  8. https://eatsleepcruise.com/sun-princess-restaurants-menus/ https://cruisetipstv.com/new-sun-princess-menus-food-photos/ There's other blogs with menus and photos... Specialty Dining is $45 on Sun, making Premier Cruise Package even more of a "bargain"... Bars: https://eatsleepcruise.com/sun-princess-bars-with-menus/ Lots of new drinks, and as you can see, pricing is slightly higher than other ships....
  9. If you don't want to go to a restaurant that you could visit in NY, CA, Vegas, etc then Sabatini's or Crown Grill or basically any specialty or casual restaurant would be our, given Sushi, Italian, Steakhouses, pubs, pizzerias, and so forth places abound in all of those. Interesting take really. Especially as you comment that you do eat at Sabatini's on Sapphire - when you can eat at a multitude if various Italian restaurants in any of those cities (or virtually any other city around the world). What sets that apart and OK for you, as opposed to a churrascaria? If you don't like churrascaria for whatever reason, that's one thing - but knocking it cuz you can get it in any city is just a wee bit hypocritical given you are fine with Italian at Sabatini's, lol...
  10. If you're not Platinum or Elite, then after you've made final payment. I can currently make reservations for my Dec and Jan cruises, but am Elite..
  11. You don't need reservations for the MDR. Walk-ups are happily accommodated, possibly with a short wait, depending on dining time.. Sterling Steakhouse is/was a portion of the buffet. Back corner. Screened off and setup with white linens, flowers, table service, etc just like CG. While yes, buffet area, it didn't really feel like it and it was somewhat screened off an private - no doubt the new venue is similar in setup.. Instead - for a truly memorable and amazing intimate romantic anniversary meal - consider the Ultimate Balcony Dinner. $110 total for two. Includes a four course meal served course by course, with filet and lobster, welcome cocktail, half bottle champagne, flowers you keep and a photo you keep. It's amazing, delicious, paced really well, the staff is usually quite unobtrusive and anticipatory. So much more special and intimate than banquet dining in MDR or specialty - and minimal extra cost, particularly with the included drinks and keepsakes.. Happy anniversary and enjoy.
  12. It's tea, scones, pastries and sandwiches, delivered to the stateroom. Order for one as it's a LOT of food, more than enough for 2, easily.. usually needs to be ordered the day before, or at the latest by 9am day of Its a great set-up for an afternoon nosh, particularly after a shorter port day or lazy sea day. Setup is standard - 8 mini alcohol, 2 beers, 2 still water, 2 sparkling water and 6 sodas/mixers. What booze depends on ship. Usually 2 vodka, 2 gin, 2 scotch, 2 cognac. You can trade like for like, all booze for one type of booze, all non-alcoholic for different non-alcoholic, entire setup for all non-alcoholic or entire setup for a single bottle of wine.. (from a small list).
  13. Yes, Casual dining for a few is new since 2022. It was introduced in Aug 2023. Different ships have different venues, and some ships without any of the dedicated standalone venues have pop-ups in the specialty or buffet for lunch or dinner. So, pay attention to the dining section of the Patter daily if they interest you.
  14. The Enclave is not segregated by gender. It's mixed, women and men. Appropriate clothing necessary..
  15. You can't reserve casual dining in advance of sailing. And basically, only Planks and Steamers take reservations, aboard, a day or two in advance. Call DINE line, go to the venue itself, etc to make reservations. Can't do it via the app, even aboard.. As they alternate each night, you only have a couple nights for either - and they do get busy, given how many people have packages including casual dining....
