It is mostly ballroom dancing. However, there is a disco as well and once or twice a voyage there will be a "party night" when the on board band from the disco are in the Queens Room.

I didn't stay for the naming ceremony. Seemed little point once I found out it was just five women from Liverpool.

There is only one train an hour. I think it goes at about 56 past the hour.

So long as the bottle breaks unlike on Queen Victoria. Question is, will it be the same person doing the naming.

I think it might be too new to know. As a general rule, look for a cabin with cabins either side and above/below.

A quick hello from on board Queen Victoria. Boarding was smooth as usual. A bit of a surprise was that we had an old fashioned muster drill at 4pm. The video on TV still says to go to be scanned on so not updated yet.

I was looking forward to seeing QA in Southampton. Oh well, I will have to wait until Liverpool in June.

A lovely concert tonight at King Georges Hall in Blackburn with the Halle Orchestra. A Night at the Oscars. Highlights included West Side Story, Frozen, Star Wars, Titanic Schindler's List and Ben Hur.

I went to see Sir Karl Jenkins at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester today. An excellent concert including extracts from "The Armed Man".
