LHP Posted December 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2012 We are looking at a Junior Suite on the Conquest but do not know if one will sleep 4 comfortably??? We will have one person who can sleep in an upper.... I just do not want 2 people sleeping on a pull out couch.
serene56 Posted December 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2012 most cabins that hold, four people have a convertible sofa- the back comes off and its made to a bed.. and an upper bed. on these ships the sofa does notmpull out into a bed. what is the passenger make up in the room.? you may want to consider two regular balcony rooms
KroozFoolz Posted December 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Linda, are you sure a Junior Suite on Conquest will sleep 4? I picked a sailing to do a mock booking (November 3, 2013 six nights rt Nola) and when I entered the number of passengers as 4, the Junior Suite category shows as not available but it is available when I changed the number of passengers to 2. (Of course, it could be that any JS's that sleep 4 are already booked for that sailing.)
serene56 Posted December 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2012 there are ONLY two junior suites on this ship. there are located on deck 9 all the way forward. Both these cabins only hold 2 people.
LHP Posted December 26, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Let me check again....I thought it said Junior suite??? the make up is hubby and I, our son and grandma..... so our son and grandma need separate sleeping areas...not a pull out couch that sleeps two. LHP Posted December 26, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted December 26, 2012 The reason I was asking is that we have one more Diamond perk 3/4/5 person free to use before they expire in June 2013. *which is why we are not getting two cabins and we did this same cruise in Sept (same folks) in an OV on Main and it was a little tight. And since the balconies simply eat up the cabin space....a balcony would not be any better. So we are looking at getting a Suite (since we never do that) ....for just a little more money than we would normally pay for 4 in an OV or Balcony.... serene56 Posted December 26, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 26, 2012 its a shame that 9200 is not available to you yet- but then the 3rd/4th may have to share a bed. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=28373379&postcount=18 have you looked at oceanview cabins #2473 or the other side? here is an ocean suite on the dream= i cant imagine it would be that much different. please notice the balcony- People think when they book a suite the balcony should be bigger. Linda - We've had ocean suites and you do not get separate sleeping areas, just the sofabed. It's really just a larger version of a standard balcony cabin, although with a nice dressing area and a tub/shower.
<3 2 Cruise Posted December 26, 2012 #11 Share Posted December 26, 2012 We were in JS right before the dry dock in October. It slept 3. Sofa converted into bed.

serene56 Posted December 26, 2012 #13 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Thanks ya'll...and thanks for the video.... I was hoping the 4th bed was an Upper that was on top of the day bed... so well...back to plan B....lol yeah- i just checked and you want to look for a square inside the cabin number which will denote the upper bed / sofa combination 2 twin beds (convert to king bed), single sofa bed and 1 upper pullman bed and it was surprising that not one ocean suite has that combination. the few that do hold 4 people have the double sofa bed. -- if you go to a regular balcony cabin-- i think a few people can utilize the showers in the spa /gym area./
BigDfromTN Posted December 26, 2012 #14 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Hello Linda, We have not met but I respect your history and opinion. Off topic here, but have you noticed that the Priority Disembark on Elation (and maybe other ships) now says for "Gold, Platinum, and Diamond" ? My DD noticed it on the sign to the Romeo and Juliet lounge and it was also announced as such in the lounge by "Blake" who was our escort. Emphasis here on the Gold part. Kinda looks like a dilution of VIP perks to me. thanks, Don
