LICRUISEAHOLICS Posted May 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2012 We are looking at luxury cruising for a change - we've been on 20 + cruises on RCCL and the like and totally enjoy the experience. Since my husband will not get on a plane most of our cruises embark from the northeast or Florida. I can't seem to find a luxury line leaving from NY/NJ. Rare LHT28 Posted May 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2012 Regent, Silversea & Crystal go to Montreal... you could always take the train back Maybe something different would be American cruise lines ...small ships but heard they were quite nice
sitraveler Posted June 2, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 2, 2012 Oceania's Regatta sails north from NY September. Not super luxury, but outstanding. There is also a 25 day NYC to Miami via the Amazon.
Travelcat2 Posted June 3, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Here is a link to Regent's all-inclusive cruises leaving from NYC. You would need some type of transportation back from Montreal. http://www.rssc.com/cruises/default.aspx?RegionId=CANNE&MonthId=&ShipId=&DurationId=&PortId= P.S. Here is a train that looks really nice http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?c=AM_Route_C&pagename=am%2FLayout&cid=1241245664917
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 3, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Also consider putting two cruises together to possibly create a NYC R/T cruise. And another option is to go from NYC to Montreal and then take the train back to NYC. You could do that on the Crystal Symphony or on other lines that have been mentioned.
