Hotels in Auckland

I am looking for jan 2016 and sebel suites and Stamford plaza look nice,

They are not too far from pier. Any suggestions would be helpful

You are aware there is a Hilton right on the pier where the ship docks?

The Stamford is very comfortable and the price is often very reasonable. I've not tried the Sebel nor the Hilton.

Both Sebel Suites and Hilton are nice, although it's some years since I stayed at either.

We stayed at the Langham and absolutely loved it. A bit of luxury. It's a little farther from the port, but we walked it several times. We plan to stay there again when we are in Auckland next year.

We stayed at the Sky City which was about 10 minutes by taxi from the pier. Excellent hotel and used by lots of other cruisers.

We just returned from our New Zealand cruise and we stayed at the Hilton. Rooms are clean and roomy, staff is friendly, concierge is helpful, and the hotel is right on Princess Wharf and 200 yards from Queens Wharf, easily walkable. Some rooms look directly out onto the harbor. All rooms have balconies. The breakfast buffet at Fish is pricey, but you can order ala carte. Great restaurants around the wharf are easy to walk to. For us, staying at the Hilton made our hotel to cruise terminal baggage transfer the smoothest ever. The hotel loaded our luggage onto a cruise baggage cart, and then we pushed it 300 feet to the cruise baggage drop-off point, left the baggage and cart and were directed into the terminal for check-in. The entire process took fewer than 10 minutes. Wherever you stay, you will love the friendly Kiwis.
