I was looking into the beach getaway excursion for $35 that Carnival is offering. It departs at 8:30. Is it new because there was only 1 review from March '14. Not too much info on the beach name, anyone been there? I was just going to the brewery tour and then go to Senior Frogs with my 18yo son. Oh the agony !!!!!

I also saw this new shore excursion on the carnival page and wondering where it is? I see that there are 3 different options. Beach day, beach day with open bar, and a beach day all inclusive which adds a buffet lunch. Any info. Would be appreciated!!!!!

I have not seen much on this, we booked Beach Getaway With Open Bar and I was trying to find out what Beach it is at. We are going in January. Just looking for more info on this. Thanks for any new input.

We are on the Fascination April and signed up for the beach with open bar $49 and wondering which beach and how it was??

Hubby and I are on the Fascination in a few weeks and we've decided in Freeport we are going to do the Brewery on our own as I don't see it listed as a Carnival excursion yet. I'll check again..but in Nassau since we've been so many times before we plan to ride the jitneys around town ...we may swing by Atlantis..we stayed there about 10 years ago..I left their casino lots of money! lol;)

We have thought about this excursion, but the reviews are just bit above average. I am sure that the beach is nice, but staying on the ship when many are in port is also nice. We live in Florida so the beach thing is a wash.

The free drinks are nice, but I can not get past the math part. For two of us, the excursion would cost $100, then throw in another $10 or $20 for a tip. So, I have to ask, "what am I getting for $110 (I took the low end)".

At $110 that is approximately 10 drinks on the ship (5 per person). So 10 Mai-Tais between 2 people in 3 hours and we are singing show tunes. I know I will not get the excursion and entertainment of fellow passengers, but I am in it to relax and be off the grid.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but that is okay I will live with it.

We just did this excursion on March 18. I am not sure it IS Taino Beach--it appears to be a beach used solely for this excursion and I did not see any signs. Also Taino Beach has a beach club/resort.

Anyway, the beach is fine but it was very crowded even with just 2 ships in port. We were on the last bus and literally grabbed the last 3 chairs available under a palm tree. The drinks are terrible--the guys I was with had beer but the open bar part was not worth it.

Get in line early so that you can be on the first bus and have your choice of loungers.
