Make sure you are not using the Address Lookup function, but click the link (just below it) for entering an international address and change the country drop-down to United States. I was just able to enter a valid US zip code there.

Yes it is - but for my money, the train is worth the extra fiver for convenience.

I would also take the train than the bus. The bus journey from LGW into central London takes forever.

Suggestion one: use the local train, instead of the Gatwick express; takes only a couple of minutes longer, and is half the price. Bonus is there's service into a lot more London stations too on different routes.

Suggestion two: check the 'international address' section.
