How is the snorkeling on HMC?

If you look around on the board, this is discussed quite frequently. Compared to other ports on Caribbean cruises, it is subpar. You can snorkel there, certainly. But it is not even a "good" place to snorkel. One of the better locations is to the south of the docking area, but this is totally a do it yourself area.

What other ports are you stopping at? For example, Grand Turk is perhaps the best..certainly in the top 2 or 3 on Caribbean cruises.

The cruise is from San Diego to Boston with stops in Costa Rica, Columbia, 2 ports in Mexico, Florida, and Charleston, SC.

Caribbean side is OK. Not on Pacific side.

There's good snorkeling at Xel-ha in Mexico, if your ship stops in Cancun. It's about a 90 minute drive from Cancun, so you might want to do this as a ship's excursion.

The only 2 stops in Mexico are Puerto Vallarta and Huatulco. I think Huatulco has snorkeling.
