Cocoa beach restaurants advice

We will be staying at the Hampton for a few dats before we leave for our cruise. Therefore our breakys are covered and With the Canadian dollar being the way it is i am pre selecting restaurants for lunches and dinners. We will need 2 or 3 dinners and 3 lunches

So far we like the idea of slow and low bbq for a dinner and beach side grill and deli for a lunch. Been checking trip advisor and now asking you guys.

I am definitely looking for a great burger place (nothing crazy just a good burger) for a dinner or even a lunch. we want to experience the beach vibe for sure so no need to go somewhere fancy.

Price point would be $15 or less per entree, kids about $8 and under. Good cheap drinks is always good as we don't drink while cruising

Name some places please.

Kelsey's Restaurant & Pizzeria (family friendly pizza / Italian near the port)

Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar

Grills Seafood (Grills/Rustys/Fishlips .. the portside trilogy ... I prefer Grills)

http://www.grillsseafood.com/

Heidelberg Restaurant (Bavarian with an attached Jazz Cub .. Cocoa Beach)

http://heidelbergcocoabeach.com/

Coconuts on The Beach (this one is on the ocean if the wx is nice)

http://coconutsonthebeach.com/

Florida's Seafood Bar & Grill (popular for QUANITITY and selection ... but no view)

http://www.floridas-seafood.com/

If you go out exploring and make it south towards Patrick AFB or the zoo, the BEST burger in the area can be found at Cabana Shores on US-1 a lil south of the Pineda Causeway (SR-404) http://www.cabanashorestikibar.com/

How far of a drive would you say the burger place is. Not familiar with the area. Did not know there was a zoo. Better get googling :)

The zoo and the burger place are around 15 miles south of the port .... driving distance can vary a bit cuz you can't drive 'straight' there .... you have to deal with the bridges to get across the rivers .... but the drives will be easy. Both places are on major roads ...

The 404 forms the south boundary of Patrick AFB

the Brevard Zoo (brevardzoo.org) sits just off exit 191 of I-95

++++

also down towards Patrick AFB you find Fat Snook ... a place good enuf to warrant an Emeril visit

http://www.thefatsnook.com/

but check website b4 you go as they just announced they bought the former Mango Tree in downtown Cocoa Beach so will be moving (larger place ... better location)
