Newbie Dining Questions

We will be leaving on our first Silversea cruise in about 2 weeks. We have sailed on Regent about 6 times, so it is our reference point.

We usually prefer to dine by ourselves. Tables for 2 in Compass Rose are usually available on Regent. Are they regularly available in the Restaurant on Silversea? Are they in demand? Should I talk to the Maitre D’ about our preferences early in the cruise?

We have reservations for several meals at La Terrazza and the Pool Grill. There was no option to specify non-sharing. Can we expect to get a table for 2? Also our dining reservations are for Early 7:00-8:00. What does 7:00-8:00 mean?

How does La Terrazza compare to Sette Mare on Regent?

Is La Champagne similar to Signatures on Regent?

Thank you for your information.

jgm Your reservations made will be for two unless you state otherwise. The main dining room is in your hands.Dine when you want and with whom you wish.We prefer dining as two primarily to obtain top class service at a pace to suit yourself. It helps to stick with a waiter who quickly adapts to your personal requirements.Sorry can't help with the Regent comparison questions.Hope you enjoy your first SS experience. We try to arrive earlier rather than later when a one hour reservation space is booked, better choice of table.

Been gone from Whisper for 2 whole weeks now...tables for 2 are easily available in the Restaurant. The Maitre D' Sergio asked each and every evening "do you want to share" and we said we'd prefer a 2 some. Our favorite 2-tops are those that allow you to sit on 2 corners of a 4 sided table. The tables that seat you across from each other are a little smaller.

2 tops in La Terrazza for breakfast and lunch were slightly more difficult because it seemed everyone wanted to go there for those meals rather than the Restaurant. But we did get 2 tops. The key seemed to be getting there well before last seating at breakfast as there was typically a short line right before last seating time.

Have fun! Melissa
