SeaShark Posted October 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2015 What are your favorite items on the buffet on the Star? To be perfectly honest, the buffet would at the top of my list of things TO miss.
OceanDreaming2 Posted October 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2015 In the evenings, look for the crepe station for a wonderful dessert!
valleyvillage Posted October 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2015 I love the Indian dishes, which appear from time to time. Keep an eye out for them!
GORDONCHICK Posted October 5, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Pretzel rolls and made to order crêpes in the evening (but don't wait too late).

Rare wilmingtech Posted October 5, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Buffet on the star was far from impressive. But we really did enjoy the crepes at night. Wish they had them for breakfast in the morning. -Sean
Ron_L Posted October 5, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Thanks to those who answered my question! We rarely eat at the buffet, but it seems that every ship has something on there that folks really enjoy. It seems like crepes are popular :D The cheese and crackers, for pre dinner nibbles on the balcony with a glass of wine. No balcony this time. We just couldn't justify $300/person extra even though we enjoy the balcony. :(
buckirj1 Posted October 5, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Chocolate croissants on the breakfast buffet (best sweet onboard, beats heck out of most of the dining room desserts); cheese and pretzel rolls at the lunch/dinner buffets; hand-scooped ice cream (again, better than most NCL desserts). The meat carving station is almost always good. I like to head to the buffet to get my vegetable fix, because there isn't much quantity available on a MDR plate. Every once in awhile there's interesting fruit on the salad bar, but sadly not too often.
