Any Ideas for Toddlers

Recommended Posts

We are looking for something to do at this port and we will have a 3 year old and a almost 3 year old on the trip . We are a group of 10. Any ideas??? Thanks for any ideas...

LeGalion Beach and the Butterfly farm would be a good combination. Taxi to one and walk 5 minutes to the other. Those wanting to just do the beach can do so or there is also a riding stable in walking distance as well.

My grandsons are 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 yrs old. We are going to the St. Maarten

Zoo and a beach. Link for zoo below. I just can't decide what beach to go to.

I have no interest in Maho with the planes. Any beach suggestions for little kids welcome.

Thanks

Thank you for the suggestion

Yes, I did consider this beach. A couple of things make me hesitate.

1. It's a bit further than I wanted to travel from the Port - (the Zoo appears a short distance from Port)

2. The beach looks very isolated. I will be there with my adult daughter and her 2 boys - the men are going to the Casino.

3. Some reviews point to robberies in and around the beach.

I always seem to go when lots of people are at LeGalion on weekends and in the afternoon in the summer. Locals love this beach and when they have time this is a go to spot for gatherings. During low season the restaurant is closed on Monday's but there is. Restaurant, with a bar and restrooms and chair rentals and it shares the same main road as Orient so I wouldn't call it isolated.

I heard something about robberies but I have been many, many times and never felt uncomfortable at Le Galion and I do feel uncomfortable in a couple of other areas on he island.

It's 20-25 minutes from the port.

Look at Little Bay. If you search Divi Resort on Little Bay you will see pictures. This is are sort beach so you may feel more comfortable here. It's 10 minutes or so from the port.

Agree with karysa about le Galion.

I believe most crime there is breaking into unoccupied cars in the parking lot.

When you visit the Zoo you'll be nearly 1/3 of the way to le Galion.
