Flight from SEA TAC

Both piers are about a 30 minute drive to the airport, but give it an hr to be safe. There's lots of road construction, tunnel construction, plus city events that can tie up traffic.

Be sure you're at the airport 2 hrs prior to departure. Seatac is incredibly busy in the summer, especially on cruise days when thousands more swarm to the airport to fly home.

Any thought on cab versus taking the shuttle transportation bus option from HAL back to SeaTac for a Saturday 7am arrival? We have an 11:30am flight back to Phoenix which the transport company says is fine (?). Not sure if the cabs are plentiful at Pier 91 for ship passenger transport to the airport upon arrival. Much thanks.

As is commonly discussed on these board, cruise line transfers are rarely the best way to do it, cost wise, or in terms or tight flights, which you have.

So, as commonly discussed on this board, a towncar (like AlreadyThere Towncars) will charge you about the same as a taxi, and is a great way to make sure you get there.

In the taxi business, Rule #1 is to go to the fares. When a ship is in port, that is where the fares are.

  • 3 months later...

We did the luggage direct option and when we walked off the ship had a line of cabs at the dock waiting. No issue and we're at the gate for our 11:30 am flight two hours early with no rush or worry. Would definitely do the luggage direct option again for the convenience of no luggage hassle and early time for the flight.
