Colosseum tickets- collect/print/buy there?

We are going to book tickets for the Colosseum but the official site says to collect there.

Is that going to be a huge line to wait to collect tickets.....is there a quicker way??

We have bought ours on line and then you collect them there either at the colosseum or at the Forum . It does save waiting to get in .

Collect them (or buy them) at the Forum. There is never a long line there, compared to the Colosseum - it's only a 5 minute walk between the two.

We ordered online (same site) and printed our tickets at home as well. The confirming email said:

"Attached you will find the tickets to print, that allows you to go directly to the turstile without queuing."

We bought ours at the gate to Palatine Hill. There was a large line at the Colosseum and a smaller but still large line at the Forum but we walked right into Palatine Hill. The ticket includes all 3 sites.
