distance between docks

Tried to search for this, but couldn't find anything.

In October, we're cruising on the Carnival Breeze out of Miami, then transferring over to the NCL Pearl the day we disembark. How far apart are the two docks? Right next to each other? Long walk? Cab required? Any help from anyone who's experienced this would be great.

Thanks,

Celine

As mentioned, luggage and your mobility are the mitigating factors. If your party is able to walk long distances with luggage (and it will be warm no doubt) then you can do it easily. If not, its a quick cab ride which wouldn't be too expensive.

You could have anywhere from about 3/8 of a mile up to about 1.5 miles depending on where each ship is tied up. The pier in Miami can accommodate at least five ships. Each one takes about 1/4 mile of space along the dock, so that should give you an idea.

Thanks guys... hubby and I are both fit and active, so no problems walking for us with luggage. Some ports are purely industrial and walking between cruise terminals just isn't do-able... glad this one is easily walkable. :)

Carnival uses terminals D and E, I think. Norwegian is B and C. The walk will be very doable as they are right next to each other.

Here's a nifty map

The Cruise terminals are along the north side of Dodge Island on the main channel (across the water from the MacArthur Causeway).

Breeze and Getaway are right beside each other. I can't imagine taking a taxi. When we were taking the shuttle to the airport, it picked us up at Getaway, then stopped to get some passengers from Breeze. That little ride took about 45 seconds in traffic.

There's always those who are not mobile or those who hideously overpack... :)
