Somehow I was unlucky enough to book a cruise during the iron Bowl (Alabama vs Auburn) - hey it's for his birthday so give me a break :o But now I'm concerned the ESPN on board won't be "real" ESPN, anyone know if they'll have the real deal? We leave out of Port Everglades at 4pm and the game is at 7:45 Eastern.

Last year we were on the Westerdam for the Alabama-LSU game and all they had on "ESPN" was soccer :-( Watching online would have been cost prohibitive but I tried everything I could to pull it off, even using my phone as a hotspot.

ESPN is usually aired and viewed in the EA Sportsbar next to the casino, deck 5.

I don't believe it is aired on the cabin TVs.

Not 100% certain. But, if you are leaving the day of the game, you'll have some time before you switch to ESPN Deportes. (Once you are well into the Caribbean, it switches.) You may be in luck. If it does switch, I bet they play it in the EA Sports Bar. We are leaving Sat and curious if we'll see Miami/FSU.

Just think how much money they stand to make in the bars if they cover all the networks and ESPN on any football Saturday in the fall. Can't imagine they don't have marketing folks somewhere tallying up that tab!

In the same boat (no pun intended) as the original poster.

From past experience on Carnival ships with a game I wanted to see on the US version of ESPN, I have lucked out and they had a satellite feed of the game playing somewhere in one of the public areas every time except once.

Hopefully my cruise on the Liberty in a couple of weeks will not be the 2nd time.

We just got back Sunday from the freedom 8 day cruise. Yes they will have the game in the EA bar by the casino. Also, they have the games on in the Red Frog pub. We watched NFL in their as the ea bar was packed on Sunday.

They will not lose normal ESPN until they get near either Cuba or the DR depending on what cruise you take.
