Prescription drugs are available all over. Going downtown there will be a better selection than in the shop at the pier. Prices are cheaper than in the US.

Verify quantity that is permitted to be brought back to your home country.

Antibiotics can be purchased for personal use without a Rx.

Any narcotic would require a prescription and you should verify if it is legal to buy and carry them home.

Antibiotics require a prescription in Mexico, now, under penalty of a large fine to the pharmacy. A law was passed a year or so ago and it isn't enforced much in the border towns, but at the Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel at the piers it has been. I tried to purchase a Z-pack in Feb. 2014 and I was not permitted to without a Mexican Physician prescription. I could, however purchase all the prescription skin creams I wanted. :p

Just returned home from Riv Maya and there are no antibiotics being sold now. I was able to purchase lasix and sumitriptan (imitrex) along with Retin-A, but unable to get Z-Pack, Amoxicilin and Tretracycline.

The larger tube of Retin-A was $32 US. I didn't ask about a quantity, but I don't think there was a limit.

I've enver been told about a limit on Retin-A and have brought back several at a time.

how about lorazapam? can you find that in Cozumel? or Roatan? or Belize?

Email Bobbie, one of the owners of the Discount Drug and Souvenir shop (top floor of the downtown Diamonds International) and ask if they carry it. I think I may have seen it in the past but not sure.
