cruisincorgi Posted January 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Hello. My wife and I will be sailing out of Miami in April on Fathom's Adonia. This is only my second time cruising out of Miami, and the first time I am flying to Miami (last cruise stayed in Fort Lauderdale and took shuttle to Miami port). Looking for advice on hotels. What are some recommendations close to the port? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.
Flymia Posted January 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2017 This is a topic that can easily be found searching not just the forum, but just the first page or two of the this forum. As for recommendations, anything in the Downtown Miami or Brickell area is good. The port, as you may remember, is right in the middle of the city. Anything in those two areas will be a cheap and quick ride to the port. The Hampton Inn Brickell, Holiday Inn Port Miami, Intercontinetal and Double Tree Biscayme Bay are popular choices. JohninDC Posted January 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2017 I would add the Hyatt and the Marriott next to the Doubletree to the above list. Dates and a budget would help the suggestions to be closer to your target. ;) I would only consider MIA airport area hotels if I was flying in late and just wanted a room. FamilyBoatTrip Posted January 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2017 We are partial to the Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon. Free transfer from MIA to hotel. Hotel is walking distance to grocery , liquor store, cvs. Can get all the last minute items for the cruise. They have shuttles to the port in the morning, too. Jenny4625 Posted January 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Is there a lot of "airport noise" at Blue Lagoon?
Flymia Posted January 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Is there a lot of "airport noise" at Blue Lagoon? No. There should not be much, especially inside the rooms.
