golf channel

Does any one know if Island Princess can receive the golf channel ? A friend of ours is competing on the Big Break Myrtle Beach.

Princess uses a satellite service. There's only a limited number of channels available on the in-cabin TV and I seem to only remember seeing a couple of ESPN channels on all of our cruises (and many times, it's the British feed).

As far as sports that seems to be shown on the MUTS screen or in the lounges, there are some football games, especially the college bowl games and the Super Bowl -- if the feed can reach the ship. Maybe some March Madness games, but there's no way every sports event can be shown.

If I were you, I would DVR it and watch upon getting back home.

No Princess ship I have been on receives the Golf Channel.

No Golf Channel availability on any ship at all. You will have to find a spot in port to watch.

Much to my family's dismay, we've never seen the Golf Channel on Princess.

I follow The Big Break, who are you talking about? and to whoever gave the advice about DVR, thanks i would have forgotten to do that.

Nope we were just on Island Princess only sports channel is ESPN. They show football games on Sunday's on MUTs, but other sports lose out unless broadcast on ESPN. Couldn't even see baseball playoffs.

No we are heading out on the Caribbean Princess for 5 days out of Fort Lauderdale.
