Do the vendors at the Castries Market accept USD?

They will accept USD however no 50s and 100s as there are issues with counterfeit. Also no mutilated or torn currency as it is foreign.

We aren't doing an excursion in St Lucia and thought the market would be a good way to kill a little time in port.

It is mainly locals who buy there.

It's close by so definitely visit it. I am just not big on the market or the areas near the port.

Personally, I wouldn't go to the market. *shrug* You can stay within Pointe Seraphine and drink 3 local beers for 5 bucks. Ha! :D
