World cruise 2017

We are hoping to do a portion of the World Cruise in 2017 from Auckland to Singapore.

Does anyone have experience trying to reserve a portion of the WC this far in advance? Any suggestions?

We tried on the Whisper last week and were told we would probably have to wait until April. We got a segment on the 2016 World Cruise whilst onboard in April this year, technically just before they were released.

I have now been told by my travel agent that SS will be willing to make partial reservations in early October. I'll believe that when I have a confirmed reservation.

We are also awaiting a partial booking. It will probably be soon. Those who are booking the whole WC have probably already done it.

We too are anxiously awaiting word for the opening up of partial bookings for the 2017 WC. Fingers crossed!

Any news on being able to do partial bookings? On the Silversea website, the Whisper is whited out for that timeframe, so one cannot even look at prices. I just know from the World Cruise brochure/booklet that there is a cruise we would be interested in.

We are aboard the Spirit. The cruise consultant thinks that bookings for segments of the 2017 World Cruise will become available around April if not sooner, but not sure just when. But she did make a "waitlist" booking for us for the San Francisco to Bali segments, for $250 per person, refundable.
