Please post review/pics when you return of the Marriott and if you purchased your day passes at the front desk? Also taxi info would be great! We are thinking of going there in March! Enjoy your trip!

Yes, I definitely will. I heard wonderful things about The Marriott!!!

Thank you so much!!!

Nicole :)

We went to St. Kitts last year and planned to go to Marriott but the taxi driver explained the Marriott is on the Atlantic side of the island with lots of waves. We went to an over look to see what he was talking about and choose to do a beach on the Caribbean Sea side instead. No waves made for easier/safer swimming for a few people in our group.

Looking for any further feedback on those who have recently visited the Marriott and purchased the day pass??

did you like it? how was the ocean? Pools? Did you just get the pass at the front desk or do you have to reserve in advance?

Any info greatly appreciated.

We went to the Marriott in Jan. The cab driver told us they were full and weren't selling day passes, but I thought maybe he was trying to take us to the same beach the rest of the ppl in our cab were going to, so I didn't listen to him lol

When we pulled up, I asked the bellhop guy out front and he said no problem, you can buy a pass. Well, not so, according to the girl working the desk. She said they were not selling passes. I asked to speak to the manager...he was the nicest guy. He told me it would be unethical to sell us passes because he couldn't guarantee we would be able to get chairs by the pool or beach since the hotel was full. So...he let us stay for the day for FREE! The service at the hotel is amazing. He had someone else escort us to chairs...we had a choice of beach or pool. He introduced us around so other employees wouldn't bother us when they saw our cruise ship towels. And he wouldn't take the tip I tried to give him!

I would highly recommend this place for a day pass if they are available. We actually considered going back for a week and staying at the Marriott...that's how nice all of the staff were :D

We were just there last week on carnival triumph and it was amazing. The day pass is $35 and includes pool and beach access along with free wifi. Beach is beautiful but it is on the Atlantic side and can be wavy but still able to get in water. Taxi ride was $12 for both of us and then same on way back. We could do the cabanas on beach or chairs by ocean and then plenty of chairs available by pool, we were only boat in port that day so that could make a difference for availability. If not, I heard cockeshell beach was the best on Caribbean side.

We're going to be on St. Kitts on April 1. I called the Marriott earlier this week and asked about day passes. You can pay $35 per person which will give you access to the property and that's it. I ended up reserving a day room for $125. We prefer to have a room where we can leave our things while we're at the beach/pool and then take a shower before returning to the ship. We've done this on every Caribbean cruise. As a matter of fact we're also doing it on St. Maarten on this cruise. I booked a day room at the Weston Dawn Beach. We did it last year and the hotel is great.

Was there a limit on guests for the day room? We have 6 in our family and this sounds like it might be the way to go. Do you have to call or can you reserve online? Thanks!

This is info I got via email about the daypass/room:

the day passes would be $35.00 per adult. To reserve a room for the day, the cost would be $125.00 USD plus 24.5% tax. The day room includes access to the resort for 2 adults and children ages 17 and younger. For each additional adult in the room, the cost would be $35.00 USD.

Cab fares are usually quoted for 1-4 people sharing. So the price from the pier to the Marriott would be $12 for 1 person , $12 for 2 people, $12 for 3 people and finally $12 for 4 people.

This is a great deal! St Thomas we are looking at $13 pp each way for where we are going

FYI... about 45 days out they will have a better idea if day passes are available. That was when I learned they are booked solid while we are in port and will not have day passes or day rooms at that time. She gave me a deal on an actual room that wasn't much more than the day room. I was corresponding with the email address that I found on these boards: mhrs.skbrb.reservations@marriotthotels.com

Is the day room cost in addition to the day pass cost or are the daypasses (for the 2 adults and 2 kids) included in the cost of the room? Thanks!!

As indicated it says that the day room 'includes' access to the resort - so that is the same as a day pass in my opinion...

Just got back from our cruise... St kitts Marriott was lovely. Had to actually book a room since it was Easter week. At 9 am no one was on the beach or by the pools. No chair hogs to be seen. The room was really quite nice... We used it for the restroom only lol. The beach was soft sand, great chairs and palapas, but so much seaweed we couldn't go near the water. So we did the beach for a bit and then switched to the main pool... Then after lunch (at the poolside place... Which was good, but crazy expensive ($100 for 4 lunches, no alcohol), we switched again to the quiet north pool. Really enjoyed our day!
