12hrs post cruise in Ft Lauderdale

We arrive back in Ft Lauderdale on a Saturday morning and do not fly out until 9:15pm. Will renting a car to kill the day be our best option (that way we have some place to stow our luggage)?

With this flight time I would rent a car.

For sure. If you haven't been, drive down to Miami Beach. You have lots of time to take in South Floida.

We have a 19:45 flight after our cruise and have booked a day room at Rodeway Inn for $50. Gives you the room until 6 pm.

We would just like to relax rather than driving around and trying to keep busy.
