Gcto Posted June 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2013 One of the trips we are looking at ends in Lima Peru. As this is a standard tour as part of the Miami-Miami (around South America), I assume that Regent has this pretty much organized. Does anyone know or remember (if having done this tour) what airlines Regent used for the flights back from Lima to the West Coast ? Much appreciated. DaveFr Posted June 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2013 Franzr, Last December we flew from Buenos Aires to Los Angeles in business class using a Regent air deviation. The flights were on LAN, including a very nice nonstop flight from Lima to Los Angeles.
Rare RachelG Posted June 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2013 LAN flies direct from Lima to LAX. A very nice flight in business class.
Michael@ssrp Posted June 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2013 Last year we returned post-cruise from Lima to SFO non-stop on LAN. Very nice. Good service. Be prepared, most SA to North America flights are late nite departures out of Lima. The airport was an absolute zoo!!
nanook21 Posted June 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2013 We flew back from Lima to Phoenix via Atlanta on Delta in Jan 2011, we used Regent business class upgrade with a deviation. Tried to go through LA, no luck. No idea if they still use Delta or not, you'd have to get your TA to check which airlines they now use. You are correct, ALL departures out of Lima to the US leave approx 1 am. Recommend booking a day room at the airport Ramada, it's worth it. Gcto Posted June 17, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted June 17, 2013 thanks for all your replies....looks like LAN will be the most obvious choice. Looking at orbitz or expedia and many flights have a stop over in Panama City... Will keep you posted
