Juneau Docking

It seems that I saw somewhere that the Silver Shadow will be using tenders in Juneau. Does anyone know if this is so?

It's been 6-years since we've been there on SS, but we docked there on our Shadow voyage.

Last October the Shadow docked downtown within sight of the Red Dog Saloon.

We will be there on July 3 and, according to the schedule, will be docked at the Alaska Steamship Dock. A quick look through the full schedule shows that the Shadow is scheduled to anchor at Juneau on some dates.

Last October the Shadow docked downtown within sight of the Red Dog Saloon.

As did we 18 months ago.

Thanks for posting. Looks like when there are more than 4 ships in port, smaller vessels anchor. Unlucky for me that there are five on our day. Happy to know now than be surprised later.

We were in Juneau on the Shadow in May and we docked right in town, adjacent to the Mt. Roberts Tram. Very convenient.

Ugh! The sidewalks and stores will be overflowing. Sounds like a good day for an excursion!

We've had one tender and six dock side positions in the last seven years. The tender was a surprise but it wasn't a problem. It doesn't take very long to get in to the dock, maybe 10 min max.
