Maximum Credit given by Cruise Line

Recommended Posts

Can anyone give me an idea of how much credit is extended to each cabin by Princess Cruises. Years ago, I cruised with RCCL and if I remember correctly, I had a USD 1000 credit for my cabin. When it almost reached the limit, I cleared up the amount and started again. Would this be the case with Princess. I have registered my credit card when doing the online check in.

I have never had a limit placed on our cabin at any time. Now, if your credit card doesn't have enough credit available that might be your problem. The only other time this might be a factor is if you are paying by cash and are close to your limit. Otherwise, I would think they would want you to spend and spend and spend.

Just to add: I have spent thousands on board and they have never denied me. A friend of mine spent around $8000 in the casino. They got a teddy bear out of the deal but was never told to stop spending. Another spent around $5,000. I usually pay for my daughter, son, spouses and children and they have no problem taking our money.

If you are using CASH for your shipboard account, they may call you to "pay it down" if you reach the ship's limit....if you're using a credit card, they don't ask for any kind of "settling up" until the end of the cruise.

I couldn't believe my friends. They actually had to go home and get a second mortgage to pay for their picture purchases. No cruise purchase is worth a second mortgage.

I am going to assume you are joking about this
