Said it before, will say it again, easyETA.com was quick and effient for us and cheaper than the official government site. No clue how they do it but they did it and we got our approvals within minutes and had no problems going in and out of Australia. Of course you should always print out a copy of your approval.

Second the motion.......official government site or not, we have used this site 6 times at going rate of 9.95 US and have confirmation within minutes. Once in AU, never a question raised.

We've purchased Australian visas twice from the official site, and each time had virtual instant confirmation and a receipt. I've never been tempted to use a third-party vendor.
