Rozza1980 Posted November 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2014 Has anyone dined in lido area resturants in the evening? I understand there are three options on rotation. What is the best and are any not worth the $10? Thanks

Rare Scrapnana Posted November 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2014 Here are some pictures I posted of part of the meal in Jasmine on QE. I did not really care for any of the three main courses (just personal preference) but the appetizers and desserts (you don't choose one - you get a little of each) were delicious. Oahucruiser Posted November 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2014 We thoroughly enjoyed the Indian one on both the QM2 and the QE. An excellent variety of very tasty food.
Artemis Posted November 4, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 4, 2014 Asian and Indian are stronger than Italian IMO. Bon voyage! Sent from my iPad using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app
tv24 Posted November 4, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 4, 2014 We crossed on the QMII twice this past summer and enjoyed all of the pop-ups in the converted Kings Court. The cuisine was always superb, on par with their equivalents in a sophisticated big city like London, NY or San Francisco. The service was always impeccable. We especially liked the food in the Indian option. Here is the downside: One must sit in the window area and focus one's vision out the windows. Otherwise you are looking at the infrastructure for Kings Court, and in spite of how they try to dress it up, it still looks like a high school cafeteria. Still, on future crossings we will always, always gravitate to these venues which are so very much worth the extra $10 in food quality and service. Please, please, please be assertive in demanding window seating.
Bell Boy Posted November 4, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 4, 2014 Rozza A tip: Speak/contact the "Lido" Maitre D' (always walking around the Lido/Kings Court) as soon as you board the ship (preferably at embarkation lunch ) and ask for a copy of the dining theme & dates. You'll be certain then to secure a booking for your preference ;) Otherwise you may have to take pot luck when they appear in the onboard Daily Programme.
