Does anyone know if Celebrity has plans to sail to Cuba from FL in the near future? Thanks

Haven't heard.Cuba really isn't set up to handle the larger cruise ships. The infrastrcture for tourism is pretty hit and miss with quality.

You nailed it - Celebrity's ships are currently too big to dock in Havana. That's why you'll notice that cruise lines that are going to Cuba are putting their smallest, which usually means oldest, ship (such as Royal's Empress of the Seas). Of course, this isn't by choice because I would imagine the demand for Cuba is probably rather large.

In Cuba they aren't prepared for people walking off the ship doing a DIY.

Was berthed in Havana in 2005 by cruise ship and walked off and explored on our own no problem. Only left at 2 am and had a great day/night there.

Has something changed? Cuba has become even more relaxed since then from my experience via air.
