beer question

can u buy beer on the island and bring it back on the boat w/o them holding it til the end of the cruise. I know some ports u can

I don't know about the beer question but I can tell you that Costa Maya is not a island. :D

There is a small convenience store on the street behind the malecon, at the intersection with Sierra where you may find local Yucatan beers, not prevalent in the US like Victoria, Leon, or Montejo. But mostly you'll find the Corona/Dos Equis/Bohomeia/Negra Modelo you find Stateside. No reason to buy that stuff and bring it back on board. You might find local beers at the Tequila Museum or the duty free store in port.

But yes you can bring it back on board and the ship will store it for you until your final debarkation.
