As the title states, we are flying into Miami (best flight) but sailing out of Fort Lauderdale (Eclipse). Do you think we'll any issues with getting a taxi to take us from one city to the other? Especially on the last day when we need to get to the airport? I believe it's about a 40 min ride. Has anyone else done this?

Cab fare from MIA to your FLL area hotel (depending upon location) will be about $85-100; cab fare from PE to MIA after your cruise should be about $85.

In addition to shuttles you should also price out one-way car rentals (post cruise only if your flight leaves later in the afternoon); if you travel light you could also ride the Tri-Rail from MIA to the FLL station and then cab to your hotel -- reverse the trip after your cruise; Tri-Rail fare will be under $5 each!

Taxis have no problem riding between these cities. They do it all the time. It is harder to find a private transportation or shuttle company because the airports offer limited numbers of permits, but there are several out there who will go to MIA.
