Beach closest to Dockyard?

Hopefully a walk, or a very short taxi ride from dock. We will have a 3-year old, and would love some place quiet with calm waters. Facilities not necessary - just want a chance to relax for a bit and maybe get wet, weather permitting.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Snorkel Park Beach is very close - walking distance - to the dock, but it's not that great. IMO you're better off jumping in a cab and heading to Horseshoe Beach. Google both for more info.

You could take the horseshoe bay mini bus shuttle for $7 pp. much easier and cheaper than a cab. Might need to bring a car seat.

They can bring one if they want to, but they are not required by law for minibuses or taxis in Bermuda. They are only required for private cars.
