Miami hotel options

La Quinta East and Springhill Suites Medical Center are two budget options often suggested on this board - both offer cruise parking deals as well as airport and port shuttles. Post cruise you will need to take a taxi/Uber back to your car or to the airport.

We will be staying at

La Quinta Inn & Suites Miami Airport East

3501 NW 42nd Ave

Miami, FL 33142

Weeklong parking is free

Free shuttle TO the cruise port or air port

I think air port may transfer both directions cruise port is TO

the port only, have to find your own way back

We will be staying at Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Miami Brickell Downtown. We are arriving at Miami Airport - using the People Mover to get to the hotel and then we will use a shuttle for hotel-to-port transfer.

Anyone else staying in this hotel? It's only one day - but - Any tips for where to eat or drink?

It's a great hotel in a great area. (I live right here so I'm biased!)

Uber is also a great way to get to the port if you don't to shuttle It's only $7 from your hotel to the port and there are always lots of Users around here.

What kind of food are you looking for? We have lots of restaurants around.

Thanks for tip on Uber. Great price.

I have never eaten Cuban food… Would like to find a good spot with a patio for lunch if you know of something.

Havana 1957 is right here in Brickell and it's a short walk. They have a nice outside patio.

I used to work on Brickell there was a restaurant named Perricone's a block off of Brickell, it was one of the first restaurants in the area before it exploded. Italian type menu, a little pricey but food was excellent and the building was really cool. I'd suggest the Cuban place first if you've never had it but if you are looking for something else this might be an option.
