city view trolley vs electric car rental

Will be in Key West Feb 3rd on Carnival Magic, trying to decide if I want trolley tickets or to rent a car. Is there enough to do to make it worth renting a car and is it easy to get around, or would the trolley be a better choice?

By the way, Key West Cruise ship schedule show two ships to be in port that day

the Magic from 1000-1800

the Ecstasy from 0715-1330

For your first visit I would stick with City View. Old Town is easily walkable and parking is at a premium to say the least.

It is easy to get on and off the trolley and spend time where you like without having to first find a parking space and then feed the meter.

Yes , make that 4 the Trolley is your best bet for first time in Key West but even better then that if you like to explore a bit more and are able , rent a biscycle then you can go EVERYWHERE and not have to worry about parking which is definatley at a premium in Key West! But if you have kids with you or are older then the trolley is perfect!
