What type of special party or events does Celebrity do on New Year's Eve? Looking forward to sailing on the Silhouette then!

They usually have several parties in different locations throughout the ship. We have done a few and they have always been fun

What type of special party or events does Celebrity do on New Year's Eve? Looking forward to sailing on the Silhouette then!

Been on a few cruises on New Year's Eve. Every time they held a party around the pool. Noise makers, hats, champagne, food and music. Cd does the countdown to the New Year. Most people leave after that and it's done.

Great! It wouldn't be New Year's Eve without the noise makers and hats! Not to mention the champagne!!!

we were on the Eclipse last new years eve - there was a huge deck party. The band and singers went non stop for 4 hours. The hot tubs were full of ice and champagne bottles and everyone was given free bubbly. They handed out hats and noise makers at dinner as you entered the MDR. Note those eating later had less of a choice of what to have.

They had ice carvings with 2012 and a 3 and on the stroke, the captain threw the 2 into the pool and replaced it with the 3 - well they would have if they hadn't stuck together and it took 5 officers to get them apart so they were a little late - all part of the fun. The rain started pouring down bang on the stroke and we all danced in it. They moved formal night to new years eve too.

We had such a great time, we're doing it again next year.

Forgot to mention, there are also parties in the sky bar and all the other bars are open as normal too and all the staff have great fun - many got to come and join in

We'll be on Equinox this New Year's Eve :D. We are in port in Georgetown on New Year's Day. I assume not much will be open that day, right? Or is tourism open whenever the tourists are there?

We had such a great time, we're doing it again next year.
