There are a couple of parking garages convenient to the port in San Francisco. Here are a couple of links with information:

The first link was prefect! I saw a show where you leave your keys with the parking attendant & while your on your cruise and the employee's used the vehicles like they owned them .. not good .. Thank You again !

DH and I were considering a cruise out of San Francisco as well. However, the parking is pretty steep - $15/day. Whenever we fly out of San Francisco for a vacation or cruise we stay at a hotel that gives us free parking for 14 days and $7 for each additional day. Then take a taxi to the ship. There's a free shuttle to the airport. Might be worth looking into.

I've been thinking about taking a cruise out of SF but I can't seem to find any information about Parking at the Port. I've been to the Port of Long Beach and it was so simple, find the parking garage and park. Does anyone know if SF has a parking garage??

we've cruised twice out of SF... the best and closest parking is at

55 Francisco Street. It's TWO blocks from Pier 39. It's COVERED parking and they reserve spots for the cruise passengers! I dropped my wife off with the luggage, parked, pre paid for 10 days, and walked to the dock. All very easy.

I know others parked at a hotel and get cheaper parking, but the rates for a hotel in SF during the summer are outrageous... $150 and UP! then taxi fee, etc... for that, I might as well bite the bullet and pay the parking fee.

Here's the contact into to make a reservation:

Glad I could help. We have cruised twice with Princess out of San Francisco and are planning to go again next summer. It is wonderful cruising under the Golden Gate Bridge. You will love it!

Thank You !!!

We have a reservation at the covered garage (right across the street from the terminal) for November. Now were thinking about renting a car, and driving it one-way instead and taking the train home. it saves a lot of money. I like the cruise parking in San Pedro better, but with gas prices now it is better to go out of SF. On a 16 day cruise it can get expensive. SF also has a terrible cruise terminal.

LOL .. I really wish I had a friend to just cruise with..don't get me wrong I love cruising with my hubby, but I get more time off then he does and if I not cruising I feel like I'm wasting them . : )

I can relate.. My schedule is so much more flexible than my husband's. I've been entertaining taking some short solo cruises, in between our longer vacations :D

You can park long term at quite a few BART stations for $6.50 per day. If you start on a weekend and end on a weekend, you are only charged for 5 days parking.

BART parking link: https://www.select-a-spot.com/bart/reservations/facilities/?type=long_term

It is about 8 block walk to pier 27, or take a taxi from the Embarcadero BART station. As you exit the BART station the Hyatt Regency Hotel is right there to get a taxi.

This is what we often do.
