bornfreenowexpensive Posted June 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2010 Is there any place near any of the port stops that offer free WiFi? We are stopping in Messina, Amalfi, Civitavecchia, and Livorno.
chipmaster Posted June 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2010 Try googling ;) Also a good source of info is your waiters and steward, they are all big users of the cheapest internet and nothing is cheaper than free, but many may not be rich enough for personal wireless device. aquilegia Posted June 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2010 There is an area in Civitavecchia that has free wi-fi. It's reached down a path from the main road opposite the railway station. We went in a cafe there and while we didn't use the wi-fi ourselves, there were a number of local businessmen in there using their laptops while they drank their morning espresso. Bobal Posted June 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2010 There's a Subway with free wifi in Civitavecchia. It's in a small square directly opposite the place where the port bus drops you and one block back. Either google it or ask a member of the crew where it is - there were quite a few people from the ship in there when we were there.
screwcork Posted June 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2010 Look for back packers with laptops in their knees! You'll see them in all ports! Screwcork
