Which trolley to take

Is there a difference between the city view trolley and the old town trolley? Which is better?

Personally, I prefer City View and they are who I recommend the most. They are usually less expensive and they have padded seats.

Is City View a true hop on hop off? My friend took one, but she does not remember which one. She said the driver would not stop and they had to stay on for the full tour.

Yes, City View is hop on/off. She must have been on the Conch Train. Either that, or years ago ship excursions used to keep their groups together and did not allow hop on/off. They don't do that anymore though.

If you are on a tight schedule, I suggest not using the City View. We boarded on a Friday at 8h50 but the trolley didn't start until 9h25. We waisted 30 minute while both the Conch train and Old Town Trolley where just passing-by full of other cruisers.
