Free Internet for Everyone on Crystal and Other Cruise News

Very interesting news. It is a positive as long as Crystal has enough bandwith to accommodate everyone. It's a good thing, IMO, that the free internet is limited. Our experience on Regent where so many passengers have unlimited internet, is that the speed at times can be as slow as the old dial-up. They have had many upgrades and the speed is considerably better than it was but not as good as it could be.

TC, yes, the number of users will not be an issue. There are some sailings that already had 75% and more Crystal Society Member on board using the 1 hour per day of complimentary internet and there have been a couple of occasions where everyone on board had complimentary internet as they were testing this even before rollout of the complimentary one hour per day to Crystal Society Members last year.

Silversea is doing the same thing beginning next year. It won't be long before free wifi will be a given on all luxury ships. It's too important to passengers in this day and age.
