moonjelly Posted April 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Hi Princess experts, I am curious if the Star Princess has any staterooms that accommodate 5 passengers? I have occupied,"family suites" on another line, that have the main room with double bed, then a separate (very small) room with double lower and single upper bunk. Does princess have anything like this on the Star? OR... do they have a quad occupancy stateroom that has a separate sleeping area for the kids? Thanks! cruis247g Posted April 30, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2012 If you google the "Star Princess Family Suite" or go to the Princess website and look at the "staterooms" under the "Star Princess", you'll come up with a two bedroom suite with a shared living room that can accommodate up to 8 people. Unless things have changed, these rooms book quickly. (Based on your question, I'm wondering if you're thinking of the 2 bedroom suites or 2 bedroom Haven villas on NCL - those are a bit different from the Star Princess' Family Suite.) Hope you find a cabin that works well for you.
DrivesLikeMario Posted April 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2012 You usually have to request this cabin directly with Princess. It's not a real "suite" as far as suite perks go. It's a pretty basic set-up with plenty of room. The 1st through 4th passengers pay the full 1st & 2nd passenger rates the rest of the passengers pay a slightly discounted rate. They usually book up very far in advance.
skynight Posted May 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2012 There are connected cabins, but the passengers in those cabins do not get 3rd & 4th passenger fares. Some people solve this issue by getting outside/inside cabins across the hall from each other. Again the 1st two passengers in the cabin pay the normal fares, but they are less because of the inside category.

Princess does reserve them so that they can be offered as a moveover to extended families when Princess needs their two or three cabins. And you are correct that the family suite does not have suite furnishings, but all the other suite perks are included. The photos are from Sapphire Princess, but should fundamentally be the same as Star Princess.
