DaveyT Posted August 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2017 I was wondering if you can bring your own shade to Half Moon Cay? We have a small popup beach shade like the picture attached. It's small enough to bring it with us and would be good for my 2 small kids to have some shade. Why pay for a clamshell or sunshade if we have one and can bring it with us... Any info would be great! Thanks!
CruiserBruce Posted August 26, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2017 Doubt anyone will care, as long as you don't put it up in a way that blocks other's views. For that reason, the clamshells are always further away from the water.
marshhawk Posted August 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2017 The clam shells cut off any breeze, unless it's coming directly from the water, yours looks like it provides shade and breeze. I would say go for it. But you may find on your daily paper the night before you tender over what is and isn't allowed. No harm done if you take it, and cant use it. Right? However you will have to stake it down so that it doesn't blow away, and if the stakes are metal, they may not even be allowed on the ship. cb at sea Posted September 4, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Sure...if you have room, bring it! Still...make sure to use sunscreen...most "shade" structures do not block all UV rays!!
WinstonsMom Posted September 21, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2017 We took our beach umbrella to HMC last year without a problem. We plan to take it to Princess Cay in November.
